Spray resin installer workshop

Everyone's got their eyes on epoxy. I found the gap.

Now you need to learn the trade.

That's why we're here.

Enrique Dragas on a driveway, holding spray resin sample boards

Who's teaching?

Taught by someone who's done it himself.

I'm Enrique, director of The Muncherz HQ. Before this I built The Grass Muncherz from nothing and sold it after four years. Then I spent two years installing spray resin floors all over Sydney, building the systems I'll hand you on Day Two.

How it actually went

  1. Two months of quoting. Not one job won.
  2. First win: a metallic epoxy job, trying to be like everyone else.
  3. Epoxy, the grind. Fighting everyone on single and double garages for peanuts.
  4. Then I found spray resin (the gap). It took me from $15k a month to $40k to $50k a month in less than 30 days.
  5. My final month selling before I moved into coaching: $100k worth of work sold.

Truth is, I never had a passion for being a tradie. I've wanted to mentor people my whole life. I just had to prove to myself I could perform the work properly and build the systems that make a business real before I taught anyone else.

Enrique Dragas

What will I learn?

Learn the install. Build the business.

Remember the driveway job? Day One teaches you that finish. Day Two teaches you those numbers. Two full days: one on the tools, one on the business behind them.

Day One: installation

  • The correct prep: moisture testing, crack repairs, and the surfaces never to touch.
  • Prep and priming: what makes a job turn out good or bad.
  • Spray technique on real surfaces, with a gun in your hands in rotation, not watching from the side.
  • Sealing and the full cure timeline, including why you never seal on the same day.

You finish Day One certified on the Shieldcoat system.

Day Two: the business

  • Equipment: what to buy, what to skip and what can wait.
  • Costing materials and labour so a job works on paper before you start.
  • Quoting and pricing jobs with confidence.
  • Marketing that puts you in front of the right customers.
  • Sales and the systems I use to turn enquiries into booked jobs.

You leave knowing how to cost, quote and find the work.

New to coatings? That's fine.

Day One starts from the tools up. It's designed for anyone, from an expert floor installer to someone who's never picked up a tool in their life.

Where will the work come from?

Finding the work is where most installers fall over. It's where I'm strongest.

I've done my own marketing from day one. The system that brought you to this page is the same one I've used to make my money in resin: the ads, this page, the film and the booking system you're about to use. I built all of it.

$100kof work landed in a single month, on the same system that brought you to this page.

You're looking at the proof

  • The Meta ads that found you
  • This page and the workshop film
  • The booking and follow up system

On Day Two I teach you the whole system. Don't want to run it yourself? We'll do it for you.

  1. 01

    Run it yourself

Day Two gives you the whole system: the ads, the posts, the follow up and the quoting that turn enquiries into booked jobs. It's the system that took my close rate from 10% to 40%.

  2. 02

Booked appointments, when you want them

Grab a pack of 10 or 20, and my team books quote appointments straight into your calendar, matched to your area. You turn up, quote and win the work.

  3. 03

    Done for you

Rather hand it over? We set up and run the same marketing system for your business, so the enquiries come to you.

Learning the trade is half of it. Getting the phone ringing is the other half, and that's the part I'm best at.

What do I get?

The Spray Resin Installer Launch.

Everything you walk out with, in one place.

  1. Two day hands on workshopDay One on the tools, Day Two on pricing, quoting and winning work.
  2. Shieldcoat certificationYou leave certified on the spray resin system.
  3. Installer product ratesBuy the system through The Muncherz HQ at certified installer rates.
  4. WhatsApp supportMe and my team, plus the boys at Shieldcoat, for as long as you're installing.
  5. Booked appointments or done for you programPacks of 10 or 20 booked appointments, or the full system set up with your name on it.
  6. Sample book and info cheat sheetShow customers finishes, plus access to all my resources: before and after pics, data sheets, basically anything you might need.

The benchmark

Learn everything over the two days, put the effort in and follow the path I teach you. $40k to $50k a month with two people is the benchmark I set for every student.

Now you have two choices.

1Stay where you are

  • Same jobs, same money.
  • Wondering if it will ever get better.
  • Waiting for the phone to ring.

2Move forward

  • Learn the trade in two days.
  • Get the system that wins the work.
  • Build the business you actually want.
"Always forward, never backwards."

What's the product? Now, what spray resin actually is.

A flexible acrylic resin sprayed over existing concrete. Here's the system we train on, one layer at a time.

Skip

Tap a layer to read about it.

  1. Prep the slab

Pressure washed clean, or ground back where the surface needs it. The slab has to be at least 28 days old and under 2% moisture.

  2. Clear primer

Concreshield Primer soaks into the prepped slab and gives the system something to grip. Step Safe WB Primer goes down instead where the surface calls for it.

  3. Step Safe Heavy Duty

Two base coats of pre-mixed flexible acrylic, sprayed for a textured, P5 anti-slip finish in almost any colour. Then two fleck coats over the top. Shown here in Bluegum® with a white and black fleck.

    Base 1Base 2Fleck 1Fleck 2
  4. Clear sealer

Concreshield clear, gloss or low sheen, in two thin coats. Always on a later day, never the same day.

Exploded view of the Step Safe Heavy Duty system, from the bottom up: prepared concrete slab, clear penetrating primer, Step Safe Heavy Duty in two base coats and two fleck coats, and clear Concreshield sealer

It's not epoxy with a new name. And it's not spray-crete.

Same concrete, three different materials. Here's how they actually differ.

Spray resin

What is it?
Shieldcoat Step Safe Heavy Duty, a flexible acrylic resin with a P5 anti-slip rating.
Where do I apply it?
Driveways, footpaths, patios and pool surrounds.
Outdoor cons
Just a fresh clear sealer coat about every six years. Otherwise it's built for outside: fade proof, flexible and grippy when wet.

Different material, different skill. That's why it gets its own training.

Who's behind the product?

Partnered with Shieldcoat. Trusted by them.

The Muncherz HQ is Shieldcoat's training partner and distributor. The workshop is taught hands on with their full spray resin system: the same primer, Step Safe Heavy Duty and sealer you'll use on paying jobs. No backyard training here.

  • Shieldcoat partner
  • Taught on their full system
  • Backed by their team after you leave

Anything else?

Straight answers.

Anything else, ask my team on the call.

Is spray resin the same as epoxy or spray-crete?

No. We teach the Shieldcoat spray resin system, a spray-applied coating for resurfacing suitable existing concrete, including driveways, paths, patios and pool surrounds. It differs from poured epoxy and cement-based spray-crete.

Do I need experience to do the workshop?

You don't need to already install spray resin. The workshop covers the process with hands-on practice and guidance. If you're new to the trade, we'll discuss your starting point on the call so you understand what's involved.

What equipment will I need to get started?

We cover the equipment needed for preparation, spraying and sealing, including what you may already own and what you'll need to buy or hire.

How long does spray resin last, and does it come with a warranty?

Shieldcoat gives the floor a 20 to 25 year lifespan, with a 7 year manufacturer's warranty against cracking, flaking and peeling. It's fade proof and only needs a touch up every 6 years.

Will you teach me how to price jobs and get customers?

Yes. Day two covers costing, pricing, quoting, presenting the service and handling enquiries and follow-ups. You'll learn how to take the service to market, with customer acquisition requiring your own effort and follow-through.

What if I don't win work straight away?

Day Two gives you the system to find your own work. If it's slow to start, you can grab a pack of booked appointments or have us run your marketing for you, so you're never left on your own to find customers.

Where do I buy the products afterwards, and what support do I get?

The Muncherz HQ supplies the Shieldcoat products taught in the workshop. We explain ordering and current pricing, and provide ongoing support with questions about materials, the system and quoting as you start applying what you've learnt.

Does the workshop make me a licensed installer?

Completing the workshop requirements leads to installer recognition for the manufacturer's system. This is separate from a state trade licence and doesn't replace any licensing or insurance requirements that apply to your work.

Where are the workshops, when is the next one and how much does it cost?

Book a call and we'll confirm the next available workshop, the current price and payment options. You can ask questions and check that the training suits your goals before deciding to book.

Book a call with my team.

Pick a time that suits. On the call, Sam from my team will:

  • Confirm upcoming workshop dates and locations
  • Walk you through the investment and what's included
  • Answer your product, equipment and supply questions
  • Work out with you whether it suits where you are now
